Overview: This project covers the shipped design for Nest smoke alarm protector, as well as the visualization for the hardware logic.

⁰⁰My role

I was the design owner for the 1st and 2nd gen Nest smoke alarm device (both embedded hardware UX and iOS UI) before Nest became part of Google hardware (2018).

- Wi-fi access set up
- Alarm light ring re-design
- Safety check up flow
- Mobile & web visual update

⁰²Backend UX update

On top of the software side, I also supported the engineering team on the device UX logic & documentations.
- Out of box bluetooth set up - Language selection
- Perform an alarm self test
- Alert for multiple alarm detectors
